Another birthday is around the corner… 7 sleeps away to be exact!

How do you feel when your birthday pops up and you add another year?

For me, it’s a mix of reflection, gratitude and curiosity about what’s next!
Every year, I ask myself a few questions and this year, I thought I’d share my answers.

Hope they resonate with you too!

1. “Am I where I thought I’d be at this age?”
Answer: Nope and that’s totally OK. Life doesn’t always go as planned, but I’ve grown in ways I never expected and I’m proud of how far I’ve come.

2. “What do I wish I had done differently?”
Answer: There are a few things, but I’ve learned that everything is part of the process. Instead of regret, I choose to focus on the lessons I’ve learned, which have shaped the woman I am today.

3. “How can I continue to make this year count?”
Answer: By embracing new opportunities, stepping out of my comfort zone, and prioritising my health and happiness. It’s about setting intentions, not just goals.

So, what’s the difference?
Goals are about specific outcomes (like losing 5 kilos or reading 12 books), while intentions are about the mindset and energy you bring to those goals. It’s about how you want to feel and who you want to become.
Intentions are a kinder way to move forward, focusing on the bigger picture, not just the finish line.

Ladies, you are the mistresses of your own destiny—make every day count!

I love getting away to places where I need so few clothes - ones that are light to pack and lovely to wear.

Beach holidays are all about feeling relaxed and carefree and that’s when silk, light cotton and a touch of linen are just perfect. I threw in a bikini too—I’m determined to wear one on the beach forever... I save the one-pieces for laps in the pool!

Did I purchase anything new for my mini holiday?
Nope!
I stayed true to my form and shopped in my wardrobe 😊

Like many pet lovers and owners, I share a bond with Bobbi that feels unbreakable and at the heart of that bond is trust. Without it, the love and loyalty we share would unravel, leaving room for insecurity and doubt.

In my relationship with my furry best friend, trust wasn’t something that was simply given, it was earned and nurtured. Once the trust was there, it became the quiet force that kept everything strong and steady between us.

Sadly, in human relationships, trust is often lacking and not always taken seriously. It’s something I’ve become more aware of as I’ve gotten older. I’ve experienced love and friendships that have come and gone, but fortunately, the ones that have lasted are the ones built on trust, not just loyalty, longevity or love.

Life has a way of changing when you least expect it. After 23 years of marriage and my daughter heading off to university, I found myself feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about what was next. The foundations I’d built were shifting and I wasn’t sure how to navigate the next chapter.

I was fortunate to meet Geri Radzim at this time and she became a huge part of helping me rediscover a sense of direction. With her support, I was able to rebuild and start focusing on what truly matters... finding balance and clarity amidst the chaos.

Three years later, I feel stronger mentally and emotionally and I have a much greater belief in myself. I’m now working on sharpening my focus and stepping forward with more intention.

It’s amazing how one person can help you rediscover your inner strength and the power of clarity. I’m grateful for this journey and the personal growth I’ve experienced.

As we mark International Women’s Day, I reflect on the invaluable role women have played throughout history. From overcoming challenges to challenging inequality, women have consistently led the charge for change.

Just as I’ve learned to find joy in life’s unexpected turns and treasure every moment, I am motivated to advocate for women’s rights and inclusivity. When women encounter discrimination or unfair treatment, it’s essential that we raise our voices and take action toward building a fairer, more equitable society.

This year’s theme, “For ALL women and girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment,” calls for a collective effort to ensure gender equality is achieved for all. UN Women Australia has adopted the theme “March Forward” to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration, inviting all Australians to participate in events aimed at amplifying voices and mobilising action toward a more equitable world.

On this significant day, let’s pause to recognise the profound impact of women’s presence, voices and contributions. Let’s applaud their resilience, strength and unwavering determination in the face of adversity.

Happy International Women’s Day to all the remarkable women who continue to inspire and uplift others.

Last week, I returned to Raes on Wategos in Byron Bay after far too long — and from the moment I arrived at Ballina Airport, greeted by the lovely Sebastian in Raes’ signature white linen, I knew I was in for a wonderful stay.

Relationships come and go, but when it comes to my relationship with suits, it’s steadfast, loyal and passionate.

It all began when I was 19 and landed my first “real” job at a fancy law firm. I couldn’t bring myself to wear a dress and heels, so I opted for suits and loafers instead. The partner I worked for thought that was perfectly acceptable and I thought he was pretty cool for it.

Since then, I’ve owned so many suits and I’ve loved every single one of them! I hate to think of how many I’ve owned and moved on from - parting with them always leaves a lump in my throat. But the good news? I still have plenty to choose from and always make room for a new one when the right one comes along.

This year, I completely embraced the last few days of Summer 2025... how could I not? I spent it in beautiful Byron Bay, on the upper north coast of NSW, Australia.

It was pure magic. Inhibitions were left behind in Sydney and I spent most of my time in a white dress and bikini. The young, free-spirited girl emerged once again and the feeling was just wonderful!

Sometimes, all it takes is a little sunshine and the right place to reconnect with the soul. ✨

Now, I love wrapping myself in it most evenings as part of my wind-down routine, and it always brings back such wonderful memories of my four days in Granada.
