The past 2 years have been an ‘interesting’ time for me. Whether I wanted to or not, I had to face changes as there was no other choice. My daughter grew up, finished school and moved 300km away to university. I ended my 23 year marriage (ok, I could’ve chosen to stay in my marriage 🤷‍♀️ but I didn’t) and I returned to full time work.

So... despite the crappy moments and wanting to pull a blanket over my head, I focused on embracing all the new things that were happening around me, gaining fresh experiences and seizing new opportunities. This is how I’m discovering the most beautiful aspects of my life. Enriching myself by stepping out of my comfort zone and venturing further than my usual boundaries is opening up new doors ... where they will lead, I am not so sure. But with caution, curiosity and good old wisdom, I’m pretty sure all will be OK.

And yes, there is a new project that I’m working on. And yes, I’m nervous 😬 and excited 😊 and of course, I will let you know 💋

I will happily confess that I love wearing black and it is my go to most of the time ... But I am also a lover of colour and I do notice how it affects my emotions.

Blue is definitely a calming colour for me and I tend to wear navy, denim, pale or teal.
The colours I do not wear often are ...
yellow 💛 - a very happy colour
and
red ❤️ - passion and love.

Having just written that, I have an urge to find a beautiful red dress 😳. Until I do, I will pop on my red lipstick to match my red nails.

This gorgeous, seductive gem of a small boutique hotel had me charmed from the moment I walked in. Four nights was not enough in either The Seda Club or Granada.
Three weeks after my stay I’m still craving to be there ... Yes it was that good ⭐

Tapping into and living with my feminine energy has been my game changer as I glided into my 60's.

Here is my list of how and why I am conscious of my femininity every day:

✨ I laugh MUCH more and without inhibition.
✨ It has enhanced my self-confidence and given me the courage to pursue new goals without constantly doubting myself.
✨ It enhances my creativity and inspires me to be curious and to explore new ideas with a fresh perspective.
✨ It connects me with my own emotional intelligence.
✨ I seek and desire deeper connections with people that interest me.
✨ I make wiser decisions (experience helps here !)
✨ Ahhhh and then there is the peace and harmony 😊

My recent stay at a beautiful, small luxury hotel

My recent stay at a beautiful, small luxury hotel in Barcelona was nothing short of wonderful.
From the moment my taxi dropped me off in one of the narrowest alleys in the Gothic Quarter at the doors of @wittmorehotel, I knew I had found a very special place.
The vibe was sultry (ok it was sexy) and it felt more like a private club than a hotel. I wasn’t surprised to later discover that it was for adults only 😉
The plush furnishings, red velvet curtains, sofas, armchairs, mood lighting, inner courtyard, fireplace, intimate bar ... all whispered seduction and I fell for it.
Go with your partner, lover, friend or ... try it on your own.
I did and loved every moment.
A very big thank you to Team Wittmore for making my stay unforgettable 💋

When I think of my 4 days in Barcelona, I remember how relaxed and happy I felt in this beautiful city. Whether I was walking on the main streets gazing up at the diverse styles of architecture or getting lost in small lanes that weaved endlessly through the Gothic Quarter, there was always a harmonious and upbeat vibe.
Yes, I visited galleries, parks, cathedrals and palaces They were all fabulous. But, it is the atmosphere, created by visitors and locals, that will linger in my memory.

Recently I read an article (with statistics) that happiness may peak for women between the ages of 50 and 70. I found it very interesting and I reflected on my own happiness.
Why? Because my wellbeing, which includes happiness, is very important to me. Also I found it fun.

My 50s were a roller coaster of emotions, therefore my “happiness” came and went in waves. I blame that on my hormones!
Now in my 60s, I’m much happier and less erratic. Again, I think it is my hormones that have settled into their new groove 🙏

Why do I think I’m happier now than, dare I say ... ever before?

Here are a few of my thoughts that I am HAPPY 😉 to share with you ...

✨ More life experience has gifted me more wisdom
✨ I have greater confidence, resilience and freedom
✨ I have fewer aspirations e.g., no more children, ex husbands or pets - one of each is just lovely 😊
✨ Less expectations has decreased my stress levels
✨ I have become the Mistress at regulating my emotions
✨ The less I try to please people, the happier they (and I) seem to be - weird but true
✨ I am blessed with close and meaningful friendships
and ...
✨ I have not lost my sense of humour or curiosity

GOSH - that list just kept growing 😂
