Roughly 10 x 8” matted. Some stains on matting. Matted paper, potentially a newspaper though it was found with maps, so it may have come from a book of maps or something similar. Very cool. The paper appears to have some fractures and rips. Appears to be as old as the note on the back says (1869). Found in an old barn in Bethany CT said to have once belonged to a family with a background in book illustration. All ephemera has wear commensurate to age, including, potentially: nicks, folds, foxing, smudges, rips near edges and fold lines, stains, old smells, minor rips at folds, small holes, and other imperfections.
