Another birthday is around the corner… 7 sleeps away to be exact!

How do you feel when your birthday pops up and you add another year?

For me, it’s a mix of reflection, gratitude and curiosity about what’s next!
Every year, I ask myself a few questions and this year, I thought I’d share my answers.

Hope they resonate with you too!

1. “Am I where I thought I’d be at this age?”
Answer: Nope and that’s totally OK. Life doesn’t always go as planned, but I’ve grown in ways I never expected and I’m proud of how far I’ve come.

2. “What do I wish I had done differently?”
Answer: There are a few things, but I’ve learned that everything is part of the process. Instead of regret, I choose to focus on the lessons I’ve learned, which have shaped the woman I am today.

3. “How can I continue to make this year count?”
Answer: By embracing new opportunities, stepping out of my comfort zone, and prioritising my health and happiness. It’s about setting intentions, not just goals.

So, what’s the difference?
Goals are about specific outcomes (like losing 5 kilos or reading 12 books), while intentions are about the mindset and energy you bring to those goals. It’s about how you want to feel and who you want to become.
Intentions are a kinder way to move forward, focusing on the bigger picture, not just the finish line.

Ladies, you are the mistresses of your own destiny—make every day count!

Beach holidays are all about feeling relaxed and carefree and that’s when silk, light cotton and a touch of linen are just perfect. I threw in a bikini too—I’m determined to wear one on the beach forever... I save the one-pieces for laps in the pool!

Like many pet lovers and owners, I share a bond with Bobbi that feels unbreakable and at the heart of that bond is trust. Without it, the love and loyalty we share would unravel, leaving room for insecurity and doubt.

In my relationship with my furry best friend, trust wasn’t something that was simply given, it was earned and nurtured. Once the trust was there, it became the quiet force that kept everything strong and steady between us.

Sadly, in human relationships, trust is often lacking and not always taken seriously. It’s something I’ve become more aware of as I’ve gotten older. Life has a way of changing when you least expect i

Life has a way of changing when you least expect it. After 23 years of marriage and my daughter heading off to university, I found myself feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about what was next. The foundations I’d built were shifting and I wasn’t sure how to navigate the next chapter.

I was fortunate to meet Geri Radzim at this time and she became a huge part of helping me rediscover a sense of direction. With her support, I was able to rebuild and start focusing on what truly matters... finding balance and clarity amidst the chaos.

Three years later, I feel stronger mentally and emotionally and I have a much greater belief in myself. I’m now working on sharpening my focus and stepping forward with more intention.

It’s amazing how one person can help you rediscover your inner strength and the power of clarity. I’m grateful for this journey and the personal growth I’ve experienced.

As we mark International Women’s Day, I reflect on the invaluable role women have played throughout history. From overcoming challenges to challenging inequality, women have consistently led the charge for change.

Just as I’ve learned to find joy in life’s unexpected turns and treasure every moment, I am motivated to advocate for women’s rights and inclusivity. When women encounter discrimination or unfair treatment, it’s essential that we raise our voices and take action toward building a fairer, more equitable society.

This year’s theme, “For ALL women and girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment,” calls for a collective effort to ensure gender equality is achieved for all. UN Women Australia has adopted the theme “March Forward” to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration, inviting all Australians to participate in events aimed at amplifying voices and mobilising action toward a more equitable world.

On this significant day, let’s pause to recognise the profound impact of women’s presence, voices and contributions. Let’s applaud their resilience, strength and unwavering determination in the face of adversity.

Relationships come and go, but when it comes to my relationship with suits, it’s steadfast, loyal and passionate.

It all began when I was 19 and landed my first “real” job at a fancy law firm. I couldn’t bring myself to wear a dress and heels, so I opted for suits and loafers instead. The partner I worked for thought that was perfectly acceptable and I thought he was pretty cool for it.

Since then, I’ve owned so many suits and I’ve loved every single one of them! I hate to think of how many I’ve owned and moved on from - parting with them always leaves a lump in my throat. But the good news? I still have plenty to choose from and always make room for a new one when the right one comes along.

This year, I completely embraced the last few days of Summer 2025... how could I not? I spent it in beautiful Byron Bay, on the upper north coast of NSW, Australia.

It was pure magic. Inhibitions were left behind in Sydney and I spent most of my time in a white dress and bikini. The young, free-spirited girl emerged once again and the feeling was just wonderful!

After taking you to Barcelona and Paris in the past weeks, I thought it was time to slow things down and share a different kind of escape—this time, in beautiful Adelaide. If you’ve never explored South Australia, let me tell you, it’s worth the trip.

Adelaide surprised me in the best way. Known as the “City of Churches,” it’s a place where history meets modern charm, with stunning beaches, vibrant markets and a thriving culinary scene. I finally gave myself the time to properly experience it—10 days of exploring, indulging and soaking in the laid-back atmosphere.

Mornings started with walks along the River Torrens, afternoons spent at Henley Beach and evenings hopping between incredible restaurants. Whether it was savouring homemade pasta at Fugazzi, enjoying the views at 2KW, or getting lost in the flavours of Golden Boy’s ‘Tuk Tuk’ menu, every meal was a highlight.
And The Oval Hotel? The perfect base—stylish, serene, and seamlessly blending into its iconic setting.

Tucked away in the 8th arrondissement, The Norman feels like a peaceful haven from the city’s tireless energy. Inspired by the refined Paris of the 1960s and the bold graphics of Norman Ives, it offers an intimate, effortlessly chic stay. From polished woodwork and curated art to bespoke spirits and mosaic-tiled bathrooms, every detail is thoughtfully designed to perfection.

I adore this hotel for its quirky yet elegant charm, with artistic touches that speak to me as a child of the late ‘60s. From soft rugs and polished wood to custom-made spirits and bespoke bathroom amenities, every element feels carefully chosen. Over the past year, I’ve had the pleasure of staying in some truly gorgeous places and I wanted to share one of my favourites with you. If you’re planning a trip to Barcelona, The Wittmore is an absolute gem that I highly recommend.

Tucked away in one of the narrowest alleyways of the Gothic Quarter, The Wittmore feels like a hidden sanctuary that’s easy to miss if you’re not looking for it. But once you step inside, you’re instantly transported into a world of red velvet interiors, soft lighting and an atmosphere that feels more like an exclusive, intimate club than just another hotel.
The ambiance is chic and seductive, with contemporary furnishings, draped curtains and plush armchairs that give the space a quiet elegance.

When I travel - especially when I’m solo - I’m always drawn to small, boutique hotels that offer a sense of intimacy, while still being warm and welcoming. The Wittmore was everything I was hoping for. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at ease. The staff was genuinely attentive, making me feel like a special guest without any pretension, offering impeccable service that never felt intrusive.

In life’s most awkward or confronting moments, it’s easy to feel thrown off balance. This week, I definitely felt off-kilter for most of it and I found it quite a challenge to keep my composure. Yes, I found myself close to a meltdown with a tradesman who insisted on “mansplaining,” and then again with a young real estate agent who seemed more interested in how old I was than answering my simple questions.
But I dug deep and reminded myself that the true power of a woman lies in her ability to remain poised, no matter the circumstances.
And it worked a treat! ✨
The air conditioner was fixed within the week (instead of two) and the young real estate agent is now professional, respectful and a pleasure to deal with.

What did I do?
I took deep breaths, straightened my posture and softened my voice. It’s in those small, graceful pauses that we reclaim control and believe me, it takes less energy than losing your temper.
A nice win/win for the end of the week. 😊

Grace isn’t perfection—it’s resilience wrapped in calm. 💖

I’ll admit, there are moments when getting older

I’ll admit, there are moments when getting older feels quite “yuk,” and it takes me a while to shift my mindset. But, after years of practice, I don’t stay stuck in that moment for long. I’ve learned to move past the loss and focus on the gains. One of my favorite reminders when I’m in one of these moods is that age has gifted me experience. That’s a pretty special perk because the older we get, the more life experiences we collect.
But here’s the key: it’s not just about living longer, it’s about truly living. Life’s constant flow of experiences comes whether we’re ready or not. How we respond to them is what matters. We can simply coast through, shutting ourselves off to new things, or we can let each experience — good, bad, or even tough — teach us something. Every day brings a fresh chance to get a little wiser than we were yesterday, if we choose to reflect, learn and grow from what we go through. ✨

The past few months have been another whirlwind of

The past few months have been another whirlwind of change and honestly, I didn’t expect so many shifts as I hit 60. But, I’ve come through the other side in one piece, with a few more grey hairs... woo hoo! 🙌

Now it’s time to focus on me - specifically, prioritising my sleep.

Sleep isn’t just rest - it’s recovery, renewal and transformation. 🌙💫
I used to think pushing through fatigue was a sign of strength, but I’ve learned that true strength comes from embracing rest. Whether it’s 8 hours or a quick power nap, sleep restores my energy, balances my mood and sparks creativity.
I’ve made sleep a non-negotiable part of my wellness routine. From dimming the lights by 7 pm to creating a cool, calming environment, my bedtime ritual helps me reset, no matter what’s going on in my life.

This weekend... there will be early nights as I catch up on some zzzz’s... unapologetically. 😴✨

Last night, over dinner with a dear friend, I discovered the term “Datsuzoki” (脱俗気), and I was immediately captivated. So today, I did a bit of research and learned that it represents the idea of “transcending the mundane” or “liberating oneself from conventionality.” It’s often used to describe someone with an air of sophistication, someone who thinks and acts beyond ordinary norms. People like this have always piqued my interest...✨

In essence, it’s about shedding the ordinary to embrace something more unique, refined, and artistic. 💖

I’ve since added this concept to my “List of Inspirations” because, truly, isn’t this the kind of mindset that keeps us evolving, moving forward, and breaking new ground?
